Coleman, a local Maryvale High School graduate, is a newscaster for National Public Radio (NPR). She is credited for her role in national newscasts such as: All Things Considered, Morning Edition and Weekend Edition.



Two individuals will be recognized for their achievements:  Arizona Community Champion and National Youth Media. 


Arizona Community Champion  

 

An outstanding citizen who has made an unparalleled commitment to improving our local neighborhoods and communities.  

 

National Youth Media Award

 

A high school or college student between the ages of 15-23 who is committed to honoring and advancing journalism's time honored principles.
