Winter Event

First Press Weekend of Wine, now in its eleventh year, is the Southwest's premier celebration of fine and rare wines. The weekend extravaganza is the First Press Fine Wine Auction, an evening of gourmet dining paired with the finest wines, a fabulous silent auction, and the highlight event: the live auction of rare and collectible vintages - donations from private cellars, corporate collections, and fine wine vintners from around the world. Vintners from distinguished wineries will host company and individually sponsored VIP tables, serving their wines to their guests.

Spring Lunch-In

KJZZ introduces the Korva Coleman Community Champion Awards Luncheon in April 2013. We welcome Korva Coleman as our honored guest at this inaugural event, which celebrates the field of journalism, and its outstanding correspondents. Coleman, a local Maryvale High School graduate, is a newscaster for National Public Radio (NPR). She is credited for her role in national newscasts such as: All Things Considered, Morning Edition and Weekend Edition. Three individuals will be recognized in the areas of Community Champion, accomplished Professional Young Journalist and promising Student Journalist. Detailed information regarding date and location are forthcoming.

Pledge Drives

The single largest source of support comes from individual listeners through the fundraising program for KJZZ 91.5 and KBAQ 89.5 are the on-air pledge drives which raise operational support for the stations.
