First Press Fine Wine Dinner and Auction for Public Radio
Returns Featuring Cuisine from Familiar Valley Culinary Star
The Valley’s premier fine wine dinner is returning for the first time since the pandemic with an exciting addition from one of Phoenix’s most renowned chefs.
First Press Fine Wine Dinner and Auction is a Valley institution that will be held for the 19th year on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the private SRP Pera Club, and will feature exceptional wines paired with cuisine custom-created by Tarbell's.
First Press Fine Wine Dinner and Auction is an elegant formal affair featuring a wine-tasting reception, a five-course wine-paired dinner, and exclusive wine-themed auction lots. This year’s event is titled “Toast to Mardi Gras” and will be a colorfully themed tribute to Mardi Gras festivities.
The event benefits Friends of Public Radio Arizona, which supports the programs and outreach of public radio in Phoenix including KJZZ 91.5, K-BACH 89.5, and the SPOT 127 Youth Media Center.
The February 18 event brings a new approach and energy to a long-standing favorite Valley fundraiser.
“We are very excited to bring back the First Press Fine Wine Dinner and Auction, and are thrilled to offer a gourmet dinner developed by well-known Chef Mark Tarbell,” said Linda Pastori, Executive Director of Friends of Public Radio Arizona. “This promises to be a wonderful evening in support of Arizona’s public radio and its critical contributions to our state.”
