What is a Friends of Public Radio Arizona Ambassador? Knowledgeable people sharing public radio!

We are looking for people like you who are passionate about their love for public radio. First, we ask that you believe in the mission to create a more informed public by providing high-quality, diverse, and in-depth programming that meets the highest standards of public service in journalism and cultural expression. Next, we want you to take on some responsibilities as an Ambassador. What would we like for you to do?

The General Ambassador’s duties will include:

  1. Participating in a quarterly, virtual 1-hour call to connect with other Ambassadors and share accomplishments.
  2. Subscribing to at least one public radio newsletter.
  3. Following FPRAZ and the division entities (KBACH, KJZZ, SPOT 127) on all social media platforms
  4. Commenting on or sharing at least one communication (news story, article, podcast, social media post, etc.) per month via your preferred method (email, text message, social media account).
  5. Attending at least one FPRAZ event per year and bring a friend(s). Examples include a news department panel discussion or a member club gathering.
  6. Sharing information about SPOT 127 with at least two young adults in your social circle during recruitment periods.
  7.  Supporting at least two member drives by:
    • Volunteering at the station to take calls
